Healey's gig
Our gig at Healey's last night was a resounding success. We exceeded our door guarantee by a good amount, and the staff, sound crew and audience all made a point of letting us know they loved the band. Took a couple of pictures from the stage I'll share with you here.
That's Cole in the pink shirt, our bari (and other) sax player giving me a pose. That's not a crucifix around his neck, but of course, a sax harness. With the trumpet is Craig, also striking a pose, I suppose.

Another Delivery
Late last night, the OCFF website (new design) finally went live. I've been working for months with a great team of people on this project. The whole thing is designed with Cold Fusion running in the background so that the folks at the office at OCFF in Ottawa can update the page themselves without knowledge of web design. www.ocff.ca

More Goodies on the GrooveCorp website

I've posted some more pictures on the Groove Corporation website. They're shots of the band that were taken at the City of Vaughan Concert in the Park back in July. It rained just before and just after the gig. Not a boring night.

Overqualified for the Blues - Brian Blain's new CD

I got a copy of Brian Blain's new CD, which I sang some background vocals on. This morning, my husband Paul heard Ross Porter talking about it on JazzFM, so I emailed Brian and let him know - it's his birthday today, so he was quite happy to hear about it and said it was a great way to kick off his day. Here's a link to Brian's blog. See his August 31, 2005 post with the story about him that was in the September 2005 issue of MapleBlues magazine.
Brian pointed out that my voice is the very first thing that appears on the album. Hmmm. It's a speaking part. :)

Video, video
I finally had a chance to post some video of the band on our website today. We were filmed in London, Ontario at a club called Max Silver's by a friend of Cole's who had a pretty high end camera. I think it's a pretty good representation of the band, and the price was right! See http://www.groovecorporation.com/music.htm.
